Announced Republican candidate for the 11th Congressional seat, Carl Mumpower, will be traveling to Washington Monday for meetings with the Heritage Foundation and the National Republican Congressional Committee. The day will be devoted to briefings on anticipated bills on Capital Hill and updates on national and international trends affecting congressional service. With the election for the 11th District Congressional seat one year away, Mumpower shares that he is keen to "be informed and focused" on Congressional issues in preparation for a strong campaign. "I learned to fight the conservative fight in an excellent arena - as a minority member of Ashevilles ultra liberal city council", shared Mumpower. "Washington is not hat much different - just a bigger house with more of the same kind of politicians creatively wasting other peoples money."
