The Mumpower Express held their first Town Hall meeting in Polk County last evening and are headed to McDowell County tonight and Hendersonville on Thursday.  "Polk County was a great place to begin and I appreciated the good folks who came out to hear our message," said Mumpower.  "Polk County was the first of three counties where Republican leadership disavowed my campaign for challenging our party's betrayal of our principles.  I believe in stepping toward the tough hurdles first."

Tuesday, August 12 - 6:00-7:30 - County Courthouse

Henderson County - Hendersonville
Thursday, August 14 - 6:00-7:30 - Opportunity House

Transylvania County - Brevard
Wednesday, August 20 - 6:00-7:30 - Brevard Library

Haywood County - Waynesville
Thursday, August 21 - 6:00-7:30 - Justice Center

"Our Town Hall Meetings are designed to be an interesting, informative, and fast paced hour and a half opportunity to share and learn," said Mumpower.  "I begin with a candid presentation and then jump on a 'hot seat' stool to field questions.  In my experience folks are looking for honest versus political answers - that is a perfect opportunity for a 'maverick' candidate on a mission.  When we have been to every county in the district, we are planning a return trip to debate my opponent."
