Congratulations to Western Carolina Rescue Ministries
for their continuing model of special service to our community. Through
the enduring strength of a Christian foundation, WCRM offers a quiet
and persisting resource of support, sanctuary and opportunity.
Uniquely,
WCRM provides critical social services that are minimally supported by
tax dollars. Relying on the energy, compassion and generosity of a
community of concerned individuals, families, churches, and
organizations, the Mission mirrors the standard that has provided
untold support to the homeless, lost, and impaired for centuries–people
helping people under Gods empowering touch.
Western Carolina
Rescue Ministries, as an autonomous community supported service,
retains the ability to insure a formula for growth and change that is
crucial to personal success–with opportunity must come personal
responsibility. A helping hand works best when united with a hand of
accountability. Growth does not occur without the willingness to reach
deep into ourselves, noting our limitations, but giving greatest
attentions to cultivating our strengths. In this simple formula lies
the secret to much of their special impact and success.
It is my
pleasure to offer a note of thanks and appreciation to WCRM for the
diverse and crucial services they provide to our community. Theirs is a
touch that ripples throughout our lives much like the spiritual force
that guides their hand of help. So often the forces that affect our
lives most!
are for
ces that are seen least.
Western Carolina Rescue Ministries–a quiet resource with profound impact.
